Xander's already handwavily sent out e-mails letting people know his new cellphone number if they didn't have it already, and his UC Sunnydale e-mail address, and... when he's leaving. Which he finally has to say 'tomorrow morning' about instead of 'Friday' because they're one and the same.

Now... he's still packing. Posters, folders, last-minute items and just stuff he wanted to leave up for as long as possible to make the room acknowledge that for now, he still lives here. Every so often he and Bridge are taking a break to look at pictures or watch a dvd, because at this point he's on the flipside of where he was yesterday: if he packs too fast, the room'll be empty, and Xander can't quite take that, not yet.

You can't really say Jeremiah's taking a break; he'd have to have been working in the first place for that to be true. He's just going back and forth between supervising the packing and supervising the loafing.

The door is open. Xander's yearbook is on the desk next to Jeremiah, for anyone who feels like signing it.

[Open all day, or ping in tomorrow if needed since some importantomg people are unfortunately afk today. Good for slowplay until... it's done.]

Xander's really packing, this time, not just trying not to and failing. He doesn't want to, but the more he gets squared away now, the more time he'll have left to be with people, instead of doing this. And it's... going. Not well, but it's going. The only problem is he doesn't have enough suitcases, and they aren't nearly big enough, or maybe just not the right kind.

Cut for packing woe )

Some things *cough*, he can carry in his head, of course, even if he didn't get a picture. Thing is, the thing is that ... he's going to have to carry all of what matters most in his head.

Because there's no room in his luggage for the whole damned island, or even a miniature giraffe no matter how weetiny he is, and the one thing Xander would leave everything behind for if he could make it fit...

Stupid Samsonite.

[For Bridge.]

Xander was sort of just sitting in bed checking e-mail, as you do, since somebody else wasn't awake and despite the ice cream-and-leftover-birthday-cake remedy he'd brought back last night, somebody else was in theory still sleeping off a headache.

*blinkblink* Xander hit reply and was about to open with asking if she was okay with the thing with the thing no longer being a thing, given other things with things and how they were no longer things, and other people's similar things with things, but then for some reason he became very interested in the fact that Bridge seemed to have a new freckle on his left wrist just below the edge of his glove, and by the time he started typing, he'd forgotten completely about whatever he was going to ask. Huh.

[AKA Backdated Linkdrop of I Don't Have The Mental Wherewithal To Turn This Into An E-mail At This Stage Of Lateness]

Pippi made pancakes, Walter dished toppings, and Xander (as well as a hungover Bridge) was there to consume them, because he's a nice guy like that. He also talked to Willow and Cally.

There was Scoobying, during which Lana fled in tears, Bridge discovered something was haunting her, and Willow offered to help research it. And said disturbing things about shooting and/or beating up people.

Later, Xander went to Bridge's room with him to pick up some stuff to take back to 121 for a while, because the ghost thing was really spooking (arf arf) him. A trip to the Common Room even later didn't really help much with that.

Xander stopped by Veronica's room and told her what he knew about the First Evil, which was just enough to indicate that it probably wasn't behind the hauntings, and found out that Willow might have helped pin down the thing that was.

Xander shared his complete lack of helpful knowledge again, in reponse to an e-mail from Nadia.

Dear Willow, continued.

Xander saved, closed his laptop, and set it on the chest of drawers beside Jeremiah's tank. Then he grinned at the furry form already curled into a tiny ball on his pillow, and turned out the light for bed.

soldtoarmenians: (fashion zomg)
Xander? Totally studying for Creature Languages.

By remote viewing, obviously, since his book is on his bed, his notes are in the laptop next to his book, and he is across the room from both, using a froggie treat tied to a pencil to try to teach Jeremiah how to dance to the Movie With Kevin Bacon In It That There Just Is No Good Meta Name For That's Simultaneously A Dancing Pun And A Pun On The Real Name soundtrack.

It's possible he's lost his mind due to finals week stress, of course. Or maybe he just had a really good day yesterday. After all, he built a swing-bed for a holographic dinosaur in Shop and watched his possibly b-word person be cute, got free study time in Magical Theory which he actually used for study, omg, visited the library where he finally got a library card and made it in and out of Special Collections without having to be rescued, then totally lost at cupcakes in the Common Room, woe. Except not.

It's possible the song playing is not the title song which scans a lot better in his dimension for some reason. It's possible Xander is grinning a lot, and it's possible that every so often he is glancing around to make sure no one is watching, then demonstrating the step he's trying to teach Jeremiah.

It would probably help if the door weren't open, huh.

[ooc: *waves* Bored. The post, like the door, is open. It's set when Best Roomie Ever is in class, but iffen she wants to use it after class/gym, be my guest. And since Xander's 3rd period class is semi-cancelled, he's pretty much around all morning.]
soldtoarmenians: (Default)

Well, that's gonna give Xander a convenient reason to unload a second birthday gift on Isabel, courtesy of Shop, finally give Aeryn the thing he'd bought for her when she came back and then never really found a non-awkward way to pass on, and give Angela the present Rory had helped him pick out at IKEA. And proves he was not on crack to think that buying some foodie gift baskets for the insane amount of parties they have around here could be an idea.

Too bad it doesn't really provide an excuse for handing over the other present he bought on Sunday, but... ah well. He'll be more neurotic about that bridge when know, that metaphor is suddenly a lot less metaphorical than it used to be.

Dear Mr. Noncommunicaty: What's up? Did your friends get any use out of the stuff I sent you on Rita Skeeter? How are those classes you're so very much more than passing, pardon me while I point and laugh1? Have you licked the frog this week? Inquiring minds want to know.

Love, Willow

1 P.S. In a loving way, of course OMG! And have I mentioned SATs recently? In the last five minutes, hmm?

In Shop, Xander helped Nadia learn about the Lorax except 'help' might be the wrong verb there, made some festive flags for the castle set, and actually did help Nadia with her, um. Flingenation. Of fairy dust. Which he was still covered with when he went to Magical Theory. During which his ears were not remotely burning, because it's already been demonstrated that Xander? Sucks at psychic.

Later there was play rehearsal, and later still, in the common room there was Vanessa Saturn, which was new to Xander's time-warped eyes, plus the apparently now-requisite torture by Rory who is mean and evil and Faithful who is a cat so that's kinda redundant, discussion of temporal displacement with both Bridge and Krycek, an artistic question from Jake and the random appearance of Ninja Vin Diesel.

But not, of course, Ninja Vin Diesel's boyfriend. Because that would just be weird.

Sunday night:

Xander hit Angel's party, was lobstered at by Nadia, invited to balance animals (but not lobsters) by Bridge and Rory, and later gave something back to Angel.

Xander built a spicerack and gave John a present while again being lobstered at, as well as passing on the paprika bloodline in Shop, watched a video in Creature Languages (and got his once-again disturbingly decent mid-term grades), and took a quiz in Magical Theory.

He totally remembered to hit the Weird Hometown Support Group for once in the afternoon, and then in the evening, there was Animal Balancinating, wherein Xander talked to Rory, shared fake birthday cake with Bridge (and commiserated on temporal displacement), told Parker about Isabel having gone home, and of course balancinated stuff. To whit, a book, Jeremiah, and Steve. No, the other Steve. Which was kind of cheating, and besides, FROG HAT, so even though Invisible Steve The Cat Who Is Not Sean Under An Assumed Name did not fall off Xander's head, he took the consolation prize, which was very consoling.

Jeremiah, meanwhile, was balancinated. A lot. For which he got treats. Some of which were locusts. Whole ones, because otherwise eww.
soldtoarmenians: (frog)
Xander dropped one of the few remaining chocolate-covered locusts into Jeremiah's tank, and winced as he watched the frog enthusiastically gobble it down. "That, by the way," he said aloud, "Is disgusting. I hope you understand how much I like you, that I'm willing to even touch those things."

Jeremiah gave what Xander sadly suspected was the froggy equivalent of a satisfied belch. Then looked at him with big froggy eyes. Well, ok, tiny bulbous froggy eyes.

"No, and you're not gonna be guilting Isabel into stuffing your face with them this week, either." Xander glanced over at her empty bed with a frown.

The croak that followed might have seemed a little mournful, and that might have been about the lack of more locusts, and it might not, but Xander nodded as he went back to checking his e-mail. "Yeah, me too."

Huh, he thought as he opened one from Janet. It seemed like this was the week for impromptu surprise parties, what with Nadia's last night. Somehow Xander doubted that Angel's was likely to have sandy candy or bulldozer cake, but he supposed he ought to show anyway. If nothing else, it'd keep him out of the empty-except-for-the-frog room tonight. Ribbits aside, the place was still too quiet.

Jeremiah was still looking at him hopefully as he packed up the laptop and got ready to leave for play rehearsal, but Xander shook his head. "No, dude. N.O. No more locusts for you."

Eyes. Big sad froggy eyes.

"Okay, maybe half a lo--" Xander covered his mouth with his hand, and possibly turned a little bit the color Jeremiah used to be. "No. The phrase 'half a locust' does not belong in any normal person's vocabulary. No."

He closed the door behind him, to the sound of a guilt-inducing *ribbit*.

Subject: re: Yay I'm In England Also HELP

Dear Willow )

Xander stopped typing for a moment, unzipped his suitcase, and dug into the pocket of yesterday's jeans for Willow's card; good thing he'd remembered or it probably would've gone through the wash. He unfolded it--

--and was, OMG, hugged. As real and solid as if someone were actually grabbing him: the feel of slender arms around him that packed a surprising amount of breath-stealing oomph, the scent of Suave green apple shampoo under his nose and smooth, soft hair tickling his chin as a head was laid against his shoulder for an all-too-brief moment, before there was nothing. He tried folding the card up and unfolding it again, but apparently it was a one-time only deal. Dam--

possibly murdering you in a loving way,

soldtoarmenians: (computer)
Xander sat with his laptop, now detangled from Pippi's crystal ball, and shook his head as he opened his e-mail program and modded the fact that Willow totally had the computer refitted for both British and Amrican power and wireless before she gave it to him.

Could he possibly have a normal vacation? Was it possible to even think that sentence without bursting into hysterical giggles and making everybody crammed into Marty and Angela's room look at him even funnier than they usually did? Noooo. Instead, Angel had to go and get poisoned, and Not-the-Scoobies, UK edition (otherwise known as FHUK), had figured out that they should try to find the current HQ for the Watchers' Council to see if they had anything helpful. Using Willow's hacked WC files to consult Pippi's crystal ball and a call to Giles had netted them an address, and they were currently making plans to head off there.

Xander, meanwhile, was taking a second to breathe, and send an e-mail.

Dear Willow )
soldtoarmenians: (sleepy)

It hadn't exactly been an eventful day; his only class was Art History and that had been a blow-off movie hour with the crazy nun again. The crazy art nun, not the crazy sex-tips nun, although they looked disturbingly like they might be related. Hadn't been a bad day, either, especially not compared to ~OMG Robots Attack!~

But Xander's head was starting to ache again, and his burned finger throbbed; he really wasn't up for heading out to see whether there was anybody in the common room who didn't know about his new weird power and could be freaked out by some less than random channel flipping. Fun, but maybe later when he wasn't so tired and achey.

While he dutifully followed doctor's orders and didn't use booze to bribe the little guy with the mallet, Xander did substitute an overly-large handful of Excedrin, and a twinkie. Because caffeine and sugar? Always conducive to a restful night's sleep. They cut into the headache a bit, but not the tiredness; by the time he'd read and answered a couple e-mails from Parker, Xander was falling asleep over his laptop, and barely had time to move it off the bed before he zonked out completely.

Dream, cut so you can just say no to crack. )

And Xander smacked at his alarm clock with a muttered FRAK. He hit his burned finger on it, and followed that up with a FRELL that wasn't remotely muttered.

And it was 7 a.m., and he had to get up for Shop, and damn if he could remember what the hell he'd just dreamt. He guessed he really would just have to make something up for class today. Also, cheerful? Not so much. Though not entirely inexplicable, what with the hour and the ow.

{Dream people utterly modded without their permission, OMG.}
