soldtoarmenians: (empty bed)

Room 406, Thursday evening

The door's open, but there's a whiteboard propped on a box in the hallway next to it that says,

"Last night in 406 before I move down to the first floor. Wander in if you want, unless you're a vampire. There's foodity. ~Xander (the one without the accent)"

Inside, Xander's desktop is pretty much empty of everything but a selection of snacks and drinks. Xander's side of the room is pretty close to empty, and on the wall where his posters used to be, a multilingual robot doggie is projecting a marathon of The Real World: Springfield.

Xander's bed is shoved up against one wall, pillows thrown around to make it couchlike for sitting thereupon. As you do.

Inside, you'd find Xander, Isabel, and Bridge hanging out. And RIC, of course.

{OOC - open for visitors and hanging out. Hopefully not 1000+ comments worth, though! WTF, Common Rooms, WTF?}

"I like third floor," Greg decided. "Barely been down to the second. And the fourth is nice, too." He looked sideways at her and blushed. "Or, you know, the little I've seen."

"Other then occasionally stopping by to visit Peter I really haven't spent much time on the third floor. Most of my other friends were on the second. So I was always there." She caught sight of the blush and smiled, "Well you're always welcome to stop by. I promise I'll never start any of that 'my floor is better' silliness."

[identity profile] like-a-sponge.livejournal.com 2006-05-12 04:15 am (UTC)(link)
"Who does that?" Greg asked, tilting his head. "And what makes second floor supposedly special, anyway?"

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-05-12 04:23 am (UTC)(link)
"Cam Mitchell can usually be counted on to preach the wonders of the second floor. And Jaye, the slightly insane girl that did the radio the other night will back him up. As for what makes it special?" Isabel shrugged, "I haven't got a clue."

[identity profile] like-a-sponge.livejournal.com 2006-05-12 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
"Peter told me Jaye's crazy. After last night I actually believe him," Greg said thoughtfully. "And I've actually met Cam. Seems like a nice enough guy, though he was very focused on jello dragons, or something."

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-05-12 04:34 am (UTC)(link)
"Peter's a little biased. He and Jaye don't get along really well. So don't take what he says about her too seriously," Isabel said. "What exactly was Cam saying about Jello dragons?"

[identity profile] like-a-sponge.livejournal.com 2006-05-12 04:43 am (UTC)(link)
"That you had snow monsters before, and now he's expecting ones made of sand or jello," Greg said. "And there was talk of, um, wrestling, too." He blushed again. "But he seemed less sure about that happening."

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-05-12 04:47 am (UTC)(link)
"See, now I'm expecting sharks with feet to come wandering up the beach at some point in June. So I guess we'll have to wait and see which one of us is right." And then Isabel connected the words jello and wrestling. She put her head down on her knees and chuckled. "It figures he would think of that. And put those odds at slim to none. No matter how much he might wish for it."

"You're talking to a guy who's still a skeptic on all things supernatural," Greg pointed out. "Though you convinced me of the alien thing pretty firmly. Ish. I'm still curious, but I believe you, at least. But...sharks with feet? Snow monsters? Magic?" He shook his head ruefully.

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-05-12 05:07 am (UTC)(link)
"Trust me, I was pretty skeptical myself. But this place has a way of convincing you. You just have to wait for it." She looked down and bit lip before asking, "So what are you curious about?"

[identity profile] like-a-sponge.livejournal.com 2006-05-12 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh, lots of stuff. How come you can do the..." He waved his hand in an imatation of her levitating something. "Is that important as like a survival skill, or something?" He smiled. "But I'm kind of dorkily, science-nerdy about what I'm curious about in that aspect, and there're more interesting and less intrusive things to talk about, right?"

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-05-12 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
"Possibly, like what's your favorite movie? Book? Food?" she asked with a grin.

[identity profile] like-a-sponge.livejournal.com 2006-05-12 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
"Movie is Triassic Gardens, because that's kind of what got me interested in biology and stuff when I was a kid," Greg answered. "Book's...probably like, any of the Sherlock Holmes stuff, I think. I like mysteries. And food's easy. I like Chinese."

He shot her a grin. "What about you?"

[identity profile] izzyalienqueen.livejournal.com 2006-05-12 05:53 am (UTC)(link)
"My favorite movie is probably Undomesticated Heart because I really am a sap for romance. There's a book called Loveliness Beauty by Robin Mckinley that I adore. And food, well anything spicy. It's even better if it's sweet and spicy together," she said. "Which is an odd combination, but it works for me."
