Room 121, Sunday evening

Subject: Newbie Saturation, and E-mail this week

Dear God I *hope* I've reached newbie saturation point.

On Friday morning I met Cedric, who gave me another solution to the me/otherXander naming issue, and Briar who's Cute Xander's roommate, plus talked to Dawn about my workshop (because I'm totally repressing the other thing we accidentally NUNS YAY NUNS) and people I already knew like Callisto and Bel and, duh, Bridge.

And I totally did not hear any conversations about vampires Buffy might have slept with OMG.

And then I stopped by Jamie's room to check to see if he was the J that left a semi-weird note in my room on Thursday, which he was, so...um. Yay? Jamie's room, BTW, is apparently Party Central. Always a good thing to remember.

It was almost a relief to go into town and hit Caritas with Bridge -- even the owner's going-away night was less crowded than the common rooms these days.

Then Other You (who I figured out the weirdness thing with, and it makes sense, don't worry about it) made Willow-cookies on Saturday morning, and everybody there I either knew or at least had met, which gave me some vague hope that that I could finally stop trying to come up with new and amusing ways of introducing myself.

But noooo, because later on Bridge and I ran across Jack, who's not *supposed* to be a newbie, but is, because he disappeared for a while and came back with his memories gone, and Max who brought free popcorn -- smart newbie. Plus Conner and Rory and Jaye who thinks you should totally come here and be 5 years old with me, which sounds pretty good, yeah, and Peter and a gazillion other people I already know, and a few I think I *still* haven't actually met.

ENOUGH PEOPLE OMG!

I guess I'll have to figure out who they all are *soon*, since my first workshop is on Tuesday. Yes, I actually have an idea what it's about. Sort of. Which brings up the e-mail part, because we're all moving out to cabins for the week (and maybe on and off for the summer; I think that's still up in the air) and I know they have power, but not sure about network. So if I'm quiet this week it's only 'cause I'm too lazy to hike I haven't had the chance to sneak back to the dorms to check mail.

love,
Xander

After sending off what felt like a really damn long e-mail to Willow, Xander checked his inbox and found one from Krycek and Jake, at which he grinned and immediately replied.

Then he went back to sitting on the foot of his bed, staring at the couple of bags he'd packed for the cabins, out of boxes that he hadn't even completely unpacked, trying to decide if there was anything else he could or should shove into them before they exploded.
