Xander opened the door, took in the overburden Blair - and the sock-stick - and bit his lip to stifle a laugh.
"Hey." He pointed at the stick. "Good choice - long enough to keep 'em out of range. Second most common newbie mistake ever is a too-short sock stick."
He backed into the room and made an obviously clear path for Blair to come in, but didn't actually say the words.
