Just outside the school gates, early Friday morning

There's a trunk, and a pile of suitcases and boxes. Even a frog-shaped wastebasket which is, at the moment, stuffed with clean socks and the blankets from Xander's bed. There's also a purple frog in a tank, and there's Xander, and there's Bridge.

Bridge is leaning against Xander, because yeah, still very much with the not wanting to let go, and so he's staying as close as he can for as long as he can. The portal's not here yet, so he knows he's at least got a little longer.

"I hate saying goodbye," he says finally.
