Waking up in a big bed that somebody else seems to think is a tiny bed judging from how close they're snuggling? That really does not get old, as far as Xander's concerned.

[Er yes, for Bridge. shock!]

"Don't remember that." Xander frowns slightly. "I...didn't mean to."

"Well, *that* much, I gathered, from your reaction just now," Bridge says carefully. "But, even if you didn't mean *to* say it, did you mean *what* you said?"

Xander hesitates for a moment, then nods.

Okay, take Bridge's typical goofy grin, and multiply by that by... a really high number... and you've got the expression on his face right now.

"That's good. 'Cause, y'know, I love you too."

Xander is, in fact, capable of making that face as well. "I maybe kinda was hoping that. Just a little."

He's also capable of looking slightly worried at the same time. It'd be an impressive balancinating act if he was doing it on purpose. "Is that gonna make things harder, though? That's... kind of why I didn't know if I should say."

"I don't know," Bridge says honestly. "Maybe? But... what I do know is that it was worth saying."

Xander pauses a moment before nodding again, and smiling without the shadow in it. "Yeah. Even though I kind of didn't say it so much as type it without even knowing I was. Should probably do something about that, huh?"

"If you'd like," Bridge says, still grinning.

Xander drops a kiss on the top of Bridge's head, and murmurs, "Love you."

Then he musses the hair. Again.
