Room 227, Monday Morning Earlyish
Xander notices that there is someone in bed with him before he actually opens his eyes. He also wakes up before whoever's in bed with him does, due to Monday Shop Class force of habit.
Both of these are probably good things, because they give him a chance to flash through approximately 5 billion really embarrassing scenarios, a couple of which involve Evil Black Vodka From Space and most of which feature glitter rather heavily, discarding the majority before actually looking to see which one he was right about. And also it means when he does open his eyes there's nobody staring at him. Yet.
Which is good because that'd be an awfully close-up stare. And kind of bright and blue-ish if he recalls correctly. Little intense for this early in the morning.
Which is absolutely the only reason he waits at least a minute or two before saying quietly, "Hey." And the relief at having a head start on being awake is the only reason he's kind of smiling a little.

Speaking of people with big brains, another memory filters through from sometime this weekend. "Did Willow really threaten to hit you with shovels?"

Xander snickers again. "So, pretty much radio."

It takes him a little longer to consider stuff now that he's not five, so there's silence for at least the length of...say half a frooty-o's commercial.
"Yup. On the air, no less." He shrugs one shoulder slowly. "Guess it must be true; nobody would ever lie on the radio."

He shifts a little, but not much. It's a relatively small bed for two non-wee, non-tiny people, after all, and he wouldn't want to knock anybody out. "But I'd say there's a good chance the boyfriend thing's on the money, 'cause otherwise I'd be worried about the whole snuggling in your bed before classes deal. If I were you, anyhow."

"Shop final today."
Not that he's moving just yet.

And totally gets up to leave for class.
Real soon now.
