Parker couldn't figure out why she'd gotten a note from Xander, then realized he must have hit the wrong key when putting in the address when she read the greeting. She wouldn't have read it. Really....

...except it was too funny not to. 'Aped an APPLE!' Heh.

She kept smiling right until she got to the last line. And then she just looked very thoughtful.

Her finger hovered over the 'save' option-- then she hit delete.

After returning to their room and not finding Xander, Isabel set out to look for him. He hadn't been in the stairwell between the 2nd and 4th floor so she decided to check the floors above them to see if he'd just continued up and missed their floor.

One floor up, she found a sleeping Xander.

Isabel shook his shoulder gently. "Xander, wake up. Come on, let's go back to the room. I've coffee there. And doughnuts."

Xander jerked under her fingers and sat up quickly. "I had nothing to do with the marshmallow fluff. Nothing! That was all Buffy."

Then he opened his eyes.

She didn't laugh, merely smiled, just a little bit. "That bad, huh?"

"Something died in my mouth. And then all its friends and family came over and had a wake. Where they mistook paint thinner for booze. And then they all ate bad brie, got food poisoning, and died too. But they're still there, because nobody's found them yet. The neighbors hated the smell so much they just moved out and into my brainpan, where they're currently building a new rec room. With stapleguns."

Taking a seat next to him on the stairs, she rubbed his back sympathetically. "Poor Xander. Let's get you back to the room and showered. It'll make you feel much better."

Xander blinked at her. "You know normally I'd say Best Roomie Ever, but a) I wasn't sure I could pronounce it right until I said it just now, b) talking is making the people with stapleguns angry, and c) I'm not sure our shower is big enough for two people. I could ask Angel, but I'm trying to deny the possibility that he knows."

She thumped him, gently, out of respect for the staple gun people. "Xander! Dirty! Hungover or not, I think you can handle showering on your own." She grinned, "Besides, size isn't an issue. Any space is big enough if you don't mind getting up close and personal." And if she slid a little closer to him, it was only to watch his reaction.

Xander blinked at her slowly, wincing each time as if even the blinking was attracting the wrath of the skull-remodelers.

"Mostly I just want to get these clothes up close and personal with an incinerator, and possibly any layers of skin that have ever touched them." He looked down at his shirt, which was the bright yellow Twinkie one he'd put on yestreday morning. "Except I'll have to wash the shirt at least; can't burn a present."

He rubbed at his hair, which took absolutely no notice of the action, remaining in wild half-flattened disarray. He totally did have the Apple Logo imprinted on his cheek, too.

"I -- was there vodka? I remember something people were calling vodka..."
