Xander's already ~~handwavily~~ sent out e-mails letting people know his new cellphone number if they didn't have it already, and his UC Sunnydale e-mail address, and... when he's leaving. Which he finally has to say 'tomorrow morning' about instead of 'Friday' because they're one and the same.

Now... he's still packing. Posters, folders, last-minute items and just stuff he wanted to leave up for as long as possible to make the room acknowledge that for now, he still lives here. Every so often he and Bridge are taking a break to look at pictures or watch a dvd, because at this point he's on the flipside of where he was yesterday: if he packs too fast, the room'll be empty, and Xander can't quite take that, not yet.

You can't really say Jeremiah's taking a break; he'd have to have been working in the first place for that to be true. He's just going back and forth between supervising the packing and supervising the loafing.

The door is open. Xander's yearbook is on the desk next to Jeremiah, for anyone who feels like signing it.

"That was the best art class ever," Xander told her.

"Groping you and Lee was totally for art," Angela said immediately, face easing into a smile. "Seriously."

"Oh, likewise," Xander assured her. Almost with a straight face. Then, "We could do that again. Only in a more huggy and less gropy way, though still totally for art."

"And without Lee," Angela said. She held out her arms. "Yeah, we can do that."

"I think I can suffer through the lack of ~~whoa hi arms~~ Lee," Xander assured her, hugging her maybe a little more tightly than art strictly demanded.

Angela didn't so much mind the firm hug, judging by how firmly she hugged back.

"Oof," she said happpily. "So ... I kind of have a proposal for you. It may be really dorky."

"I dunno - since your boyfriend could kill me from a mile away, it would be a short marriage. Plus it'd make Bridge wibble. Have you seen Bridge wibble?"

"But I was going to suggest we honeymoon in Niagara Falls," Angela pouted. "But okay, fine. I'll tell you my second choice. It's, like, 1999 for you at home, right?"

"Fall of 2000," Xander told her. "I left in '99, but my town spent a year high-school-kid-free while Buffy was chasing down the giant snake."

"Hope she caught it," Angela told him.

"And when I go home it's 1996. So ... this is hurting my head, but want to try to meet older-me on New Year's Eve 2001? Use the time travel thing to our advantage and all of that."

"I dunno if my 2001's gonna be the same as your 2001," Xander answered, a grin splitting his face, "but it can't hurt to try."

"Definitely not," Angela said, also grinning. "I have no idea where I'll be living? But I'll try to e-mail you through the alumni thingie so we can plan it. And if we end up being separated by dimensions, that's a totally perfect Fandom touch."

"Well if we do, I know a couple different people who might be able to help with that," Xander pointed out. "I should be back for Homecoming, too, so there's another chance to set something up."

"Awesome," Angela said. "I mean, not awesome you're going, but awesome you'll be back. I'll definitely see you sometime either way."

"Count on it."

Angela smiled with just a touch of wistfullness. "I should let you finish packing, but ..." she made a helpless little movement with her hands. "I'll be in touch, okay?"

"You bet." Xander nodded. Then he grinned a little crookedly. "Go! Flee the room of emo while you still can!"

Sometimes the room of emo is in your heart, Angela thought. Sometimes your heart ... is in it.

But she didn't say that; instead, she tossed Xander a last smile and left the room.
