Xander's already ~~handwavily~~ sent out e-mails letting people know his new cellphone number if they didn't have it already, and his UC Sunnydale e-mail address, and... when he's leaving. Which he finally has to say 'tomorrow morning' about instead of 'Friday' because they're one and the same.

Now... he's still packing. Posters, folders, last-minute items and just stuff he wanted to leave up for as long as possible to make the room acknowledge that for now, he still lives here. Every so often he and Bridge are taking a break to look at pictures or watch a dvd, because at this point he's on the flipside of where he was yesterday: if he packs too fast, the room'll be empty, and Xander can't quite take that, not yet.

You can't really say Jeremiah's taking a break; he'd have to have been working in the first place for that to be true. He's just going back and forth between supervising the packing and supervising the loafing.

The door is open. Xander's yearbook is on the desk next to Jeremiah, for anyone who feels like signing it.

Nadia headed down to Xander's room almost first thing and knocked quietly.

If she wasn't careful, she'd get way to good at this whole saying goodbye thing.

"Hey, little sister." No, that was not Xander humming the tune automatically.

It was Xander humming the tune on purpose. Because he's a dork.

Nadia smiled. "Hey, big brother. How's the packing going?"

"Too fast," he admitted.

"Well, then, I should distract you from it."

"Please?" Xander said gratefully.

"What else are little sisters for? There's a new girl who is very into frogs, by the way. She wanted a report on whether or not Jeremiah was cute."

"Yeah? What did you tell her?"

"That I'd never actually seen him. Which I hadn't. Until right now."

"I never intrtoduced you to Jeremiah before? Wow, I suck." Xander took the frog out of his tank and held him on his open palm. "Jeremiah, this is...um. You aunt Nadia?"

"Aunt Nadia works." Nadia held out one finger to pat Jeremiah on the head. "And I guess that I can report that he is cute. He's traveling with you again, right? Think he'll change colors?"

"I don't think so," Xander said. "He made it home for Christmas and back okay. Well, still purple, but purple is an okay color to be." This may have been said in the tone of a daily affirmation, like he assured the frog of this fact frequently.

The frog may also have rolled its eyes in the universal animal gesture of 'gee, thanks for your support. Dumbass.'

Nadia grinned. "Well, it's probably easier than being green."

"Green's the color of spring, though," Xander pointed out. "And green can be cool and friendly-like."

"That's true. But purple is much more colorful."

"It works for him. Not every frog could pull it off."

"He's obviously a very special frog." It was getting harder to keep up the facade of cheerfulness. "A Fandom frog, through and through."

"Hope he ends up liking Sunnydale. He's never really been outside Giles's apartment when I've taken him home before."

"Oh yeah? Is he going to get to go on walks, this time?"

"Well, at least from wherever I come through this time, to my new dorm room," Xander said, nodding.

"Broadening his horizons. Good."

"Well, into every frog's life a little adventure must fall. And I can always bring him back here for visits."

"You'd better,"
