Thursday, Room 121, all day (general goodbye post)

Xander's already handwavily sent out e-mails letting people know his new cellphone number if they didn't have it already, and his UC Sunnydale e-mail address, and... when he's leaving. Which he finally has to say 'tomorrow morning' about instead of 'Friday' because they're one and the same.

Now... he's still packing. Posters, folders, last-minute items and just stuff he wanted to leave up for as long as possible to make the room acknowledge that for now, he still lives here. Every so often he and Bridge are taking a break to look at pictures or watch a dvd, because at this point he's on the flipside of where he was yesterday: if he packs too fast, the room'll be empty, and Xander can't quite take that, not yet.

You can't really say Jeremiah's taking a break; he'd have to have been working in the first place for that to be true. He's just going back and forth between supervising the packing and supervising the loafing.

The door is open. Xander's yearbook is on the desk next to Jeremiah, for anyone who feels like signing it.

"Hey, some guys find big fluffy robes a turn-on," Xander pointed out. Then added as if it needed to be explained, "On girls. They do nothing for men."

"I don't know. In the right circumstances," she said with a playful leer. "But be happy. I didn't get you one as a going away present. I got you this instead." Isabel held out a small wrapped box.

Xander opened it and lifted the paperweight out, turning it so that it sparkled under the light. "Is this your galaxy or ours?" he asked, grinning.

"That's the million dollar question," Isabel shrugged. "But I thought it would remind you that you have friends in lots of interesting places."

"Thanks." D ducked in and waved to the others. "Hiya Bridge, Jeremiah and... was he born a robot or is he bridgified?"

"He's a computer, really," Xander said.

RIC, in order to help reinforce the image that he was in fact a computer, quacked.

"Not gonna forget that anytime soon," Xander said, tucking the paperweight into a zipper-pocket on the suitcase nearest him. "But thanks." He smiled. "It helps. Least it does when I'm here and I miss my friends from back home."

She nodded, "I've got my growing collection of alien oddities that Maria keeps sending me. Like I could ever forget Roswell. Or for that matter like I'm ever going to forget you."

"Yeah, they're not so much a traffic problem on an island this size as cars are," Xander said. "Also I was about to say can we take a moment to contemplate that you're dating somebody who has a horse when I realized at one point I did too. Not that I actually met said horse, but I was assured he existed and was named after that guy who starred in The Grid."

Babbling almost on a Bridge-or-Willow level in order to avoid saying one. more. Meaningful. Thing. at the moment? Why yes, yes he was.

"Well, yes," Rory agreed. "But generally they're very small and sweet-natured and should be allowed to visit as often as possible."

She frowned. "Xanders are welcome to visit here, too, you know."

"Not only has a horse but is a knight," Willow said, wishing retroactively that she could've asked Peter if it was okay to tell Xander about the king thing since Xander was leaving anyway. "That brings up whole issues of chivalry and castle-living that can be a lot of pressure for a girl. Though Peter's pretty nice about it."

Xander really wasn't, because, well, guy thing plus if he let himself do it this early he might not stop - but the comfortador gene in him was taking a major beating here. Girls crying = bad.

Cally pulled back, chewing on her bottom lip. She sniffed, wiping her eyes with the back of her hand.

She gave a little wave from her wrist, and turned to leave.

"The scary thing is I'm pretty sure he was always that way, even before Fandom." Xander grins at RIC, who's... well at the moment he's acting as an end-table, since Xander's bottle of soda is balanceed on his back.

"Thank goodness, because you really don't want anything that comes out of Sunnydale as a souvenir," Xander told her. "Well, maybe a stake or a bottle of holy water. Which you're welcome to - they're in that box over by the counter."
